On-site roll forming means making metal roof sheets at the construction site instead of in a factory. A roll forming machine shapes coil into finished sheets on the spot, so every sheet is cut to the exact length of the roof. SkySeam goes one step further: the machine works at roof level, so each sheet goes straight from the machine onto the purlins.
Why form the roof at roof level
- One sheet, eave to ridge. Sheet length is set by your roof, not by what fits on a truck. SkySeam forms continuous sheets of 100 m and more.
- No end laps. It removes the joints where long roofs most often leak.
- No crane lift of finished sheets. Long, thin sheets bend, kink and catch the wind when hoisted. With SkySeam they never leave roof level.
- No transit damage. Material travels as coil, its most compact and protected form.
- Faster enclosure. Sheets are laid as they are formed, with no double handling between stack and roof.
